Classic Ko - クラッシックコー

「古典的な、一流の、時代に左右されない」などの意味をもつ [Classic /クラシック ]、初代「雪香(せっこう)」より代々受け継がれる「雅号」としての「香(Ko)/コー」、「Ko」は「その人の美意識・感性を [ 香り ] として纏う(まとう)」という意味も込めています。

自分自身の人生における時間の中で、自分らしく心地よく過ごさせてくれる音楽やお気に入りの香水の香りのように、一人一人にとっての高揚感と豊かさに繋がるクリエイション。

「Classic Ko」は、時代を経て受け継がれてきた装飾技術『蒔絵・漆』の手技を駆使しながらも、現代の感性によって継がれる独自のミックス感覚を持った「美しさ」を築いています。

« Classic » in the very sense of classicism : a tradition of excellence that remains unaffected by the passing of time.

Ko (香/Perfume) as a legacy; a pseudonym bequeathed from our forefather’s name (雪香/Sekko) that was continuously passed on through every generation.

And “Ko” also as something close to an adornment: much like a perfume,
it is shrouding the aesthetic sense and sensibility of the person who holds it as a name.

Some creations can provide feelings of exaltation and wealth,
just like at a certain moment of our life, a piece of music or the fragrance of a favorite will allows us to experience rare sensations perfectly matching with our own subjectivity.

“Classic Ko” aims at seeking and creating beauty out of an original blend between tradition and modernity. While making an original use of the Maki-e lacquer ornament techniques and thoroughly remaining true to a tradition that was passed on through the centuries, our creations are resolutely designed to match with nowadays trends and sensibility.
